This mask is mulberry silk on inner and outer sides, and the cotton lining is inside. The silk feels soft and wonderful against the face. The adjustable ear loops and nose wires are a must for a well-fitting mask, and this one has both.
It offers good coverage and I feel very little air leaking out the sides if I try to breathe forcefully through the mask. This is a thicker mask which feels like it offers good protection. It is machine washable if you put it in a mesh bag and use hand wash cycle. After it is air dried and comes out nice and soft.
Silk is the most effective at preventing the penetration of droplets and the least absorptive of water, because of its intensely hydrophobic character compared to the other fabrics (cotton, polyester etc). If your skin feels itchy, gets red and has breakout due to the disposable masks, maybe you can consider this one :) - Stay safe!
