Wore this outfit for an inspiring day! Here are some thoughts of finding a trench:

Color - Personally I like honey color more than black, though both are classic. First of all, a black coat won't be my top choice for spring, while honey could be worn in both spring and fall. Second, I have the concern of lints sticking on the black fabric.

Fitting - Sandringham fits slimmer than Kensington. Size 0 of Kensington fits me wear over a thin sweater, while size 2 of Sandringham is barely to be buttoned. If I size up (size 4 of Sandringham), the sleeve is way too big. I picked Kensington 0.

Length - There are three lengths you could choose, long, mid and short. For the price tag, I want a classic piece, not only the brand name but also the look. The short, even mid-length one looks like a jacket more than a trench on me. For ladies taller than 160cm / 5'2, I would suggest the long version.

Price - There are not too many deals for Burberry heritage lines. I bought during Bloomingdales FF event (25% off). It is excluded at Saks Fifth Avenue FF, but always participate their gift card event.

Thanks for reading!

  2. Thanks for the review on this jacket, it was very helpful. The trench coat is beautiful and it looks great on you and also how you paired it up! I was wondering if you would know how the Burberry Double-Breasted Short Double Wool Twill Trench Coat item#39761351 on the Burberry site fits? If so what size would you take in it? I plan on ordering it online and I believe we are similar in size.
    Thanks!
