Stuart Weitzman 'lowland' over the knee boot:

1. Availability and deal: Nordstrom (6 colors, size 4-12), Bloomingdales (black and loden - greenish gray only, size 5-11), Saks Fifth Avenue (black and loden only, limited sizes available), Neiman Marcus (nice blue only size 8,  black and praline are pre-sale) and Amazon (here, 3 colors, size 5.5-12).

2. Fit: similar as Stuart Weitzman 5050 OTK, you may want to size down half size. I normally wear size 6-6.5, and size 6 of lowland is big (but reasonable with socks on) for me.

3. Comfort: super comfy! No break-in needed! I wore them walking in New York City for all day - then I appreciate the generous size, lol~ The shaft is suede with satin-like lining, which is super soft and has no pressure around the ankle.

4. Quality: nice suede! Walking all these days, the suede did not get stained and catch too much dust.

5. Cons: The shaft above the knee (about 4 inches, FYI, I am 5'4) doesn't hold in position, but won't slipper down below the knee too! The leather drawstring could not be tied tightly and firmly, which is annoying.

Overall, the boots are nice if you prefer a pair of OTK boots without fabric part! However, if you are considering your first pair of OTK, I would suggest stuart weitzman 5050 instead~

Thanks for reading!

  3. How do you compare the mainline vs the lowland? Thanks!

    1. mainline has a very flat sole which could be slippery and shaft is just around the knee; Lowland doesn't hold in place... I like classic 5050 and reserve better.

  4. I love how you have paired it with the skirt - it looks beautiful. That a bummer about it sliding down. Do you find yourself often pulling it up?
