Ingredients

7 tbsp water
7 tbsp milk
2 tbsp heavy cream
1 egg (and extra for egg wash)
1/3 cup butter, room temperature, soften (2 2/3 oz by weight)
1/3 cup white sugar
1 tsp salt
3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 (0.25 ounce) package active dry yeast

Steps

1. Combine water, milk and heavy cream and warm it. (microwave 50 seconds)

2. Place water, milk, egg, 1/3 cup butter, sugar, salt, flour and yeast in the pan of the bread machine (here) in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select Dough/Knead and First Rise Cycle; press Start. It takes about 45 minutes.

3. When cycle finishes, turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface. 



4. Divide dough in half. Roll each half into a 12 inch circle. Cut each circle into 8 wedges. Roll wedges starting at wide end; roll gently but tightly. Place point side down on ungreased parchment paper
5. Cover with clean kitchen towel and put in a warm place (make sure the wet kitchen towel not touching the bread dough! I left them in the oven with the light on and put a layer of wet kitchen towel on the rack above the dough / pan). Let it rise for one hour or until the size doubles.


6. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 375F.
 7. Bake in preheated oven for 12 min, then brush the egg wash. Decrease to 365 F and bake for an extra 5 minutes.
