Beautiful fall foliage in Flume Gorge: parka & wedge sneakers (and new buy silk pants from Intermix)

Burberry parka with detachable vest (old, similar short jacket here and coat here)

Isabel Marant Bekett wedge sneakers (here, and light color here)

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful long weekend! We had a weekend getaway in NH, visiting dear friends, seeing the amazing foliage, and hiking.

Although there should not be a killing freeze this weekend, I still prepared for a cold temperature and wind in the mountains - based on my experience. It turned out to be a great decision. It was upper 40F last night and barely 50F this morning...

A parka with detachable lining or vest is definitely a great candidate for outdoor activities. Wear it as a trench or jacket during the day, and add in the lining / vest to combat the cold temperature in the morning and evening. A short jacket with a detachable down vest in olive green (here) is on my wish list now.

After a short hiking in my favorite wedge sneakers (and wore for more than a month so far), I also decided to get a second pair in a light color (here). From the fit to the quality, IM and Ash wedge sneakers are not comparable. Though IM sneakers are pricy, they are definitely worth every penny.

Share couple pictures of my new buy from Intermix, a pair of silk pants. There are color block version still available here, $24!

  1. 每个人花钱的方式实在差别太大了。 你新房里, 楼梯,房间没有一点chair rail之类的装饰, base board用的是最窄的(所以最便宜的)那种。 你对室内装修的态度和对衣服的追究真是天壤之别啊。

    1. Good eyes. For a house less than 1 million, I would not complain too much for the package that my builder gave me - not a perfect deal but not bad too. It takes time for house decoration, right? I would love to hear your suggestion for house decoration!

    2. Hilarious! This is a post about fashion, not home decoration. If you had a peaceful heart, your judgement on other people's life attitude would be 天壤之别啊。Take it easy.

    4. Narrow base board means cheap and bad taste? What kind of logic is that? For me I like simple decor and will avoid busy designs. It is pure personal preference. I agree with Michelle that this person need to take it easy.

    5. Choosing 3.25 '' or 8'' baseboard is pure personal preference, though price may vary a little bit. I picked the average 5.25 '' which fits our 9ft celling height. I don't think the wider the better...
