London trip day 11: strolling in Hyde Park & Kensington Palace AND shopping pictures

We originally planned to visit Cambridge today (about 1.5 hours traveling distance), but changed our plan at the last minute. After traveling for 11 days, we want a relaxing day. So we strolled in the Kensington gardens and Hyde park, enjoying the weather and chasing birds :-).

Kensington Palace, setting in the green expanse of Kensington gardens, has been home to generations of royals, including Queen Victoria and Princess Diana. At the gate (in my first photo), people left flowers and cards celebrating Diana's 52yr birthday.

You also might not want to miss the 54m (176 feet) tall Albert Memorial, which situates in the Kensington gardens. This magnificent gold edifice is a memorial for Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert.

Share couple pictures I save in my iPhone (Harvey Nichols).

L.K.Bennett shoes are on sale!
L.K.Bennett shoes are one of Kate Middleton's favorite brands, and this brand is expanding its US market now. Besides boutiques, you may also found this brand in Nordstrom and Bloomingdales. Their shoes seem to be more attractive than clothes. After I walked in my patent pumps, I am sold to this brand- very chic and comfy! They are made in Spain, and have leather upper, lining and sole.

L.K.Bennett sandals (here, true to size, very comfy)

Pleats Please by Issey Miyake (made in Japan)
