After three seasons of dominating the premium designer lines and fast-fashion shops, I could not resist peplum any more! A well fitted peplum top can be flattering and versatile!

To avoid a childish look, I focused on solid colored peplum tops which reach below hips. For the material,  I think it must be stretchable - you need a well fitted look above the waistline to emphasize the peplum details. Torn by Ronny Kobo is the only affordable brand, so far, that satisfied me. It comes in ivory and black.

You can wear a peplum top with skinny jeans, trousers, and pencil / mini skirts (wore here)... Here is my Friday dinner look. A black outfit gives us the freedom of adding accessories: a collar necklace? a oversized shawl? a bright color scarf? or even with a cropped jacket?

Share a day look, upper 30F today. Only the sweater was changed for an evening look,

Opening Ceremony coat
Thank you for your reading and have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Like the look with the scarve. Somehow, I think peplum might work better on flat-chested girls, but don't feel sorry that you are not one of them :)

    1. The ratio of the chest to waist might be considered for wearing a peplum top. An eye catchy scarf may also shift the focus...
