Spring white I: Yigal Azrouel white wool sweater / Theory white navy striped silk shirt


One of the top 2013 spring / summer trends is black and white. These two colors fill up most of windows, from luxury department stores to popular brand boutiques. These timeless colors (or the color combination) actually never go out of style! Though spring has yet to come, I am ready for it~

Folded cowl neck, crinkled texture and soft wool make this sweater a great winter to spring transition piece. It goes well with leather or wool mini skirts and skinny jeans. 


Topped with my trusty winter element, a fur vest, I am ready for shopping...

One of the best sales in Theory is this striped silk blouse. It is lightly sheer at the back, but not at the double layer front. I didn't notice horrible static electricity generated by this blouse. The white / navy combination seems to go better with grey than black. By the way, if you are considering a pair of grey jeans, I would suggest you to try AllSaints ashby low rise skinny. They are the best grey jeans I ever tried! Fabric is thick (while still soft to touch) and can magically make you look pounds thinner. Measurements taken from size 25 are: inseam - 29'', waist - 27'', rise - 8'' and leg opening - 10''.

    The shoes are eye catching, but is 3.75'' pointed heel comfortable and stable for walk?

      Hi Amy, they are comfy for the height! I walked, literally walked, for 4 hours shopping on them before I changed into flats. And I changed into flats because I forgot to put friction-free... I feet sweat after walked that long.

    Personally I am not sure about that white sweater, kind of making people looks chubbier.

      Crinkled texture certainly makes me look a little bit chubby while it gives me a cozy feel. Besides this, camera always contributes a lot, 5 pounds at least. When I played with this sweater, the best way wearing it is with a mini skirt and a belt.

    I am not a big fan of the white sweater either, especially the collar. But I like the look when topped with the fur vest.

      I like the look with a vest on the top. The puffy vest somehow concealed the chubby look of this vest and emphasized the skinny jeans and heels.

    This white wool sweater and white navy striped silk shier will look amazing with Dl 1961 denim or jeans. I liked both the designs as well as choosing of contrast color which is looking awesome.
