Happy Friday! Thanks for the no-school day today that we could have a relaxed long weekend in Manhattan: dining, shopping, and strolling.

Hudson river park where I used to run every morning

It is no wonder that I need wear comfortable (and durable) walking shoes. Manhattan is definitely a shoes killer! I wore out 7 pairs of shoes within a year when I lived here... By the way, I was surprised by my little boy's memory today. When we parked nearby Hudson river park, I asked him whether he remembered this place. He pointed to a building crossing the street and said 'we lived here before'. He was only 3 year old then!

Pinot Noir braised short ribs osso bucco style

Club A steakhouse is a decent restaurant in the upper east Manhattan. Our family are all impressed highly with the quality of ambiance, food and service. Needless to say, the steak (we ordered T-bone ribeye in medium rare) was so great that we forgot to take a picture... Short ribs in osso bucco were also very delicious! Live music in evenings is also impressive! For the Friday or weekend dinner, you may want to book a table online ahead of time.
