San Francisco: local attractions
Our recent visit to San Francisco was full of
warmth and a nice escape from cold New England. We took a break and ride cable
car to union square, walked to San Francisco Ferry building, a historical site.
We walked back to Chinatown and found a small but very nice restaurant. We also enjoyed a walk to Coit tower, where
you can oversee most of the city.
Highlights:
Z&Y Restaurant on 659 Jackson St, which I recommend if you enjoy spice Chinese.
Fiddler’s Green Irish pun & restaurant, 1333 Columbus Avenue near Fisherman’s Wharf, nice live music.
Golden gate bridge, view from Coit Tower
Union Square
Coit Tower
Alcatraz
Hyde Street Pier
Figure 8 knot, good for beginner climber like myself, photo taken from Hyde street pier
