Salvatore Ferragamo riding boots are my best friends in wet days. Rubber sole and 1.5'' rubber heel are less slippery and resistant to water, while still keep you stylish. Though the boots are slightly heavy (still reasonable), they are super comfy and made for walking! Mine have been worn for two years (I bought in 2010 in NYC), and are still in a great condition! It runs half size large.

To celebrate the coming warm weekend after a snow storm, we had a sour-tasting competition today: lemon, lime and grapefruit! Six of us ate 8 sour fruits in minutes! Our team had a secrete weapon: miracle berry! 'The berry itself has a low sugar content and a mildly sweet tang. It contains a glycoprotein molecule, with some trailing carbohydrate chains, called miraculin. When the fleshy part of the fruit is eaten, this molecule binds to the tongue's taste buds, causing sour foods to taste sweet. Miraculin works by binding to sweet receptors on the taste buds. At neutral pH, miraculin binds and blocks the receptors, but at low pH (resulting from ingestion of sour foods) miraculin binds protons and becomes able to activate the sweet receptors, resulting in the perception of sweet taste. This effect lasts until the protein is washed away by saliva (up to about 60 minutes).' After had two little miracle berries, chewing fresh lime was just like drinking sweet lemonade for us, lol... However our competitors were too strong, and they ate more and faster than us, even without miracle berry!----

Thank you for you reading, and have a good weekend!
