Burberry hooded anorak with detachable liner: black Friday buys

Happy black Friday! In a previous post (here), I mentioned two clothes I was interested in. After listened to my friends, and our readers as well, I decided to send the Burberry quilted down jacket back.  First, the color could be tricky for my skin complexion. Second, this leather trimmed puffer requires dry clean. The collar, sleeves and hem of a puffer jacket actually can get dirty very easily, so I prefer a washable one.

When I returned that Burberry puffer jacket, I saw a Burberry hooded anorak (here and different color here) on the sale rack! With a basic color and detachable liner, this is a coat that I can see wearing for the next few years and in different seasons. It was $995, and on sale at $597; I got it at $319.99 this morning.

Vince leather crewneck jacket (original $995) was marked down to $597, and it was $319.99 this morning. After played with this black plain style leather jacket at home for a week,  I found this jacket an essential piece not only for spring/fall (over a tee), but also for winter time being layered under a down coat. I like wearing a sleek leather jacket indoor in the winter time, which is more structured than a knit sweater. Do you like wearing a blazer or jacket under winter coats? If you are interested in this jacket, I would suggest considering one size up.

Rich and Skinny legacy coated jeans (color: candy apple) is on sale in store at $105, and was $56.28 this morning. The jeans are not as shiny as them on NM website. They are made with medium weight clothing and relatively soft to touch (compared to most other coated jeans).

Crimson clothes and accessories seem to attract me a lot this season, so I took home another two pieces even without trying them on: Theory turtleneck sweater ($130; compared to the Burberry or Vince jacket, it is not a good deal) and Maison Boinet waist belt ($35; made in France; bought from INTERMIX; similar style here). Will share information of them later.

Stores were extremely crowded this morning, and I saw many ladies buying clothes without trying them. I can see the reasons that all the fitting rooms were full and the waiting line was crazily long. Normally, you may expect a huge amount of return after the Thanksgiving weekend. Though the extra saving was limited to the black Friday morning, many sale items may get a second mark down pretty soon. You may find the clothes you missed this morning at an even better price in the next few weeks! There was an extra 33% off in Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus this black friday morning, which was similar as the last year. But if I recall correctly, last year both SFA and NM had an extra 50% off sale the day after Christmas and the new year. The sale season just started.

Thank you for your reading and enjoy the long weekend!
