Growth jokes::"she did not ask me"

 

Age: 4 yr 11 mon

Last weekend, I took Nathan and my parents (from China) out to a shopping mall. My father and I went to get food, leaving my mom and Nathan waiting in the  food court. They found a table, and waited for us...

A lady came to the table, and asked my mom, "may I sit here?"

My mom doesn't know English.......she used gesture to make her know that she did not understand her....... the lady left....

My mom said, "I wish I knew what she asked...", Nathan said (in Chinese), "She wanted to know whether she could sit here"

"You understand?" my mom asked Nathan, "yeah" Nathan answered......

"So why did not you translate? or answer her questions?"

"She did not ask me, she asked you!" Nathan said
